Camp Erin of the Central Valley is a fun-filled three day camp for children and teens ages 6 to 17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them. It is a fun, traditional camp combined with grief education, peer bonding, and emotional support led by grief support professionals and trained volunteers.
Camp Erin of the Central Valley provides a unique opportunity for grieving children to increase hope and enhance self-esteem. Campers benefit by learning that they are not alone and that there are others who share similar feelings; that their feelings are perfectly normal; healthy ways to express their feelings; and to honor/remember the person who died.
Camp Sylvester, located in Pinecrest, California, serves as our camp location. Camp Erin of the Central Valley is offered free of charge to all campers.
This year, camp will be held June 2-4, 2023. Camp Erin is committed to the safety of our campers and volunteers. We carefully monitor and adhere to all local, state and federal guidelines including the ACA camping best practices. In light of COVID-19, some programming may be rescheduled, canceled or provided in a virtual setting.
Camp Erin of the Central Valley was created and is supported in part by Eluna. For more information, please visit elunanetwork.org.
